Hello, friends especially foodies!
Recently when we went to one of the newest shopping center in Tangerang area, still you remembered my last article? Yeah, we were still in that place and i felt hungry again after strolling around. After several time, missing of Pho (Vietnamese Noodle Soup), then finally i could find a relieve, YES, we found a Vietnamese restaurant there too.
Located on the 2nd floor, here was how the restaurant looked...
It was 12.30 pm that day when we arrived there, there was a waitress standing outside the restaurant.
When it was close enough, we could see their menu, they sold many kind of Vietnamese Dishes.
For the main dish, they sold Banh Mi (Vietnamese Sandwich), Pho (Noodle Soup), Pho Sa Te (Spicy Noodle Soup), Pho Tron (Tossed Pho), Bun (Vermicelli Salad), Com Tam (Grandma's Rice), and Com Chien (Fried Rice). They also sold many kind of rolls, fruit salad and lots of fried and grill. For dessert they also had some iced and pudding. Of course they had beverages too.
I am not familiar with the name of each dish in Vietnamese, so to make it easier for me to explain about the food, let me use their english names.
Inside i was amazed cause they had long isle to choose all the food we wanted. The first stall was for fried and grill.
Take a look closer, you would find kind of fried springrolls and also meatballs on skewers.
Next, they also had filling tofu, crispy chicken meatballs, grilled beef patty, honey grilled chicken, grilled chicken, chicken skewer, chicken sausage, beef wrap, bbq lemongrass beef.
Still in the same category, they had fritter, fried banana, fried bun, steamed bun, and kind of meat cake.
They also had some kind of fresh rolls.
Next, took the sauce to complete the dishes. They had green sauce, hot sauce and peanut sauce. We could take as much as we need.
After the fried and grill category, then we could find the menu of their grandma's rice, sandwiches, and of course PHO.
Hmm while my boyfriend considered of trying the grandma's rice, I had no doubt of choosing PHO (Noodle Soup) of course..
They also provided fish sauce to accompany their noodle soup (pho).
Later, we could see their desserts and canned drinks plus their beverage menu.
We paid and i was surprised. We didn't consider about the price haha, it was 309,100 IDR or around 19 USD for only two of us. It was because we took and took food along our way to the cashier, haha.
Time to take some condiments to complete the noodle soup, look what they had: kind of leaves, beansprouts (yuck), lime slice, and sliced chili (yummy). They also had sauce again there.
TADA, here how our table looked....
Isn't it look full? Haha. I even still couldn't imagine how could we finish them all.
And now let me share to you about how their TASTE & FLAVOUR.
From the fried and grill category, we had
BO QUAN SA SPICY (Spicy BBQ Lemongrass Beef)
The texture of the beef was soft and a bit textury. It had much spices in it, the taste was sweet and spicy. My boyfriend loved it.
CHA GIO BA BA (Grandma Spring Roll with Chicken & Shrimp)
The fried spring roll had soft yet crispy outter skin. It had tasty savory chicken, shrimp, rice noodle and mushroom as filling. Both of us agreed that this was the best fried dish there.
MOC GA CHIEN SPICY (Spicy Fried Homemade Chicken Mushroom Meatballs)
The texture of their meatballs were chewy and soft. It made of chicken and mushroom and had savory, sweet with a bit spicy flavour.
CHA THE BO NUONG (Vietnamese Roasted Beef Cake & La Lot)
Wrapped with banana leaf, here how it looked when it was opened. Well, the beef cake was unique because i've never find any like this before. It had sweet and savory flavour, but however i prefer fish cake than beef cake.
GOI CUON TOM (Shrimp Fresh Roll)
Eventhough it named shrimp fresh roll, the shrimp was not large, what we found inside the roll were much of lettuce and also rice noodle. It almost had no flavour and i don't recommend this menu for you to try.
And these were our main dish
PHO BO CHIN (Beef Noodle Soup)
One of the best pho i've ever had. Well, i mean it was beyond my expectation because it had thick beef broth soup with the perfect combination of savory and sweet flavour. The beef slices were perfectly cut and it was tasty, soft and yummy. The rice noodle was soft and a bit chewy. To brought a bit spicy flavour i added sliced chili and also fish soy sauce there. Well, overall their authentic pho was superb and we loved it much!
COM TAM BO LEMONGRASS (Lemongrass Beef Grandma's Rice)
This was my first time trying to have Vietnamese mixed rice. It was rice served with lemongrass beef which had soft texture and sweet flavour, chicken salami which had savory flavour and also steamed ground chicken egg which had soft smooth texture with savory flavour. So weird it served with cut raddish, carrot and cucumber. And overall this mixed rice was just so so.
Oh yeah before i forget, i would like to tell you about the sauce they had and the flavour.
The green sauce: had minty effect, tasted just a bit spicy. My boyfriend liked it because it was so unique.
The red chili sauce: had sweet, sour, savory, and spicy flavour.
The peanut sauce: Well, my boyfriend liked it too. It had tasty peanuty savory and a bit sweet flavour.
The last one, the fish sauce which served for pho: it was my favorite, it had tasty savory spicy flavour.
By the way, we still had a dessert
CHE BA MAU (Mixed Cendol)
Che ba mau consisted of red beans, mung beans, jelly and coconut milk. It had sweet flavour and i don't think it is special.
And we also had drink, free flow iced tea.. Good think was it was sugarfree. And the also provided the separate liquid sugar at the drink stall.
Now before i end this article, i would like to inform you about the ambience there. They had lots of welcoming soft chairs. Some even were sofas, like where we sat. The situation was really more than just comfy, it was homy. I liked how they designed the room, so warm and authentic too. Plus they also played the Vietnamese music too, so you could feel like you are in Vietnam by visiting this restaurant. It was totally a comforting vietnamese restaurant so that we spent more time than usually in that place.
Well of course, with the superb beyond expectation PHO, we would like to come again there!
