This topic I would like to share today.. Started by an Idea about how cool if we have super human power. You know, we can be like some super hero like in some movies.
And for today topic, it is about mind reading. How cool is that, if you can read your opponent mind and thought? That would be a cool thing, you can dodge and counter all their attacks. You can make all unpredictable moves.
However what if... That super power ability, is something that your partner or your spouse have? So your wife or your husband can read all your thought anytime.
Is that a cool thing? I don't think so
Mind Invasion vs Transparency
When your thought can be read everytime, it is not about transpaerency. It is not about having situation all in open book condition. It is about intrusion and invasion.
Human are judged by their actions, not their thought. Sometime or maybe most of the time we do not speak about what we think about others or about something, and that's what we call as area of unspoken. It is about being human with that as part of your biological and psychological traits.
So when someone read your mind, not limiting to your spouse only, it means that your mind is invaded and your humanity boundary is breached too. You are treated not as a human anymore, because you lose those two thing... Judged by actions and losing your space of unspoken.
So this thing is no longer as super human power, being a Total Knowing entity is put that person as a being who is not human anymore. They are Thought Tyrants.
You don't believe that?
Let's be honest here. Human are random being, we are not machines that have consistency or act with some and same algo. Our minds and thought are messy, that's why many people try to discipline or train their mind to become calmer or more productive.
As random creatures, we like to think about things that we don’t believe or not sure yet without any solid facts. We like imagine things, including things that we don’t want. Naughty and Dirty thoughts are something nature.
This video somehow can show part of it. It is human to have a dirty mind but when you do that as a spoken thing... you will be judged and you will feel ashamed of it. That's what makes us human.
*Transparency vs. Invasion
However this doesn't mean that your partner should not know anything about yourself. You still need to be transparent to him/her, and transparency in a relationship is not about bursting out exposing every thought that crosses your mind.
It’s about being honest in communicating your intentions. Being honest in all (at least majority) of your actions, and holding strong your commitments. Being human as you are allowed to have some monologue in your heart and brain, keeping your feeling and thought unspoken.
Love Requires Trust
I know this is not as simple as I have said above. I am a man, and I know if I get a wife, she will demand to know everything about me. So having a power to mind reading me sounds cool to her, but she should know too that she could accidentally becomes emotional authoritarian.
In the end, love is not about knowing everything. It’s about trusting your partner, for somethings that you don't know or you don't want to know. It’s about believing in your partner that he/she will do the best for your, and being honest to you without you have to dive into their thought.
Love is not about control anyway...
