Amazing new friends, and amazing results!
There has never been an event as successful as talent land guadalajara 2025, and even though I missed a post yesterday, I hope today to give an overview, just a peek, at all the things we have done, and seeds that have been planted.
First, we have an incredible team of Hivers together, the only ones I had ever met before personally were @jthomasewsky and @bobaphet . I feel incredibly enriched by the presence of each and every one of them; a competent and skill-set rich group of people.
I may later take the time and talk about each one, as I have connected and worked on building synergy with this amazing group of HIVE citizens.
Constantly there have been people around our both, and our big group has onboarded more wallets than any other event I know of. While some go off and work on partnerships and collabs, the onboarding booth is where the most visible magic happens and the first KPI is cranking - "people onboarded".
I have taken my turn quite a bit, but no where near top booth managers like @eddiespino and @manuphotos. I also believe the work of @gr33nm4ster previous to the event, joining local whatsapp groups and seeding them with Hive material, has been key for our eye catching success.
With @alex-rourke and @bobaphet randomly doing video and recording both special moments and b-roll footage; we will need months to unpack all the content we have produced here.
@manuphotos and @alex-rourke made flyers for our side events (set up through great business onboarding [KPI #2] teamwork over the first days), but it was ECO! that ran to the Office Max, got them printed and manually worked the "guillotina" to chop them into bits.
Chopping block work is not new to me, and I saved this special foto for @guiltyparties 😅
Speaking of "business onboarding", where @distriator is definitely the star of the show for HIVE, we also have KPI#3: potential significant partnerships.
Let me give you an example:
This is the Alibaba Cloud team, with their regional director for Latin America. I have a meeting with them next week, and based on my recommendations, they want to provide node-in-a-box services for:
- HIVE witness
- VSC node
- Hive-Engine node
- SPK network node
This will be amazing and healthy for our ecosystem to have more easy deploy options especially for hobbyists.
This is just one of the exciting potential collaborations I am working on based on meetings this week. So later throughout the next month or more, we'll have a fourth KPI, something like "successfully closed significant partnerships".
For me, and my workflow, one of the most exciting opportunities has been the vast quantities of "student developers" coming to find out more. We can "incentivize anything" on HIVE, even learning to code!
As someone with a tight-scope workflow pipeline as deep and varied as mine, this is a gold mine. Beyond accounts, I'm getting a lot of whatsapp contacts for people that I validate could have great synergy with me in this process. After all - I speak spanish.
I shouldn't fail to mention that @starkerz is a bit brilliant, and nailed his mainstage talk; beyond this, I believe he will show extreme competency in managing resources in the logistics for this event. But its not over yet.
And of course, it helps that Talent Land Guadalajara is just...FUN. There are things to do, and people enjoy it. 24/7 expo center activities, although I have managed to get 3 or four hours of sleep each night.
But now its time to "get back to work"; There is still a lot that can be done before we leave the stunning Guadalajara!
