Entrar a un lugar donde la sequía se ha apoderado de la tierra y la mayor parte de la vegetación que está ahí puede parecer algo desolador, sin embargo, a la naturaleza siempre le gusta romper un poquito con la monotonía que la sequía nos puede transmitir, y es por eso que entre sus cartas, tiene algunas especies que florecen incluso en épocas de sequía.
Hello, hivers. Entering a place where drought has taken over the land and most of the vegetation there can seem bleak. However, nature always likes to break up the monotony that drought can bring, and that's why it has some species among her cards that flourish even in times of drought.

Estas fotos las tomé en el Parque Los libertadores, la verdad es que casi nunca entro a este parque, no me llama mucho la atención ya que está bastante descuidado en cuanto a las áreas verdes. Sin embargo, ese día entré por curiosidad para ver cómo está y curiosear un poquito en sus espacios.
I took these photos in Los Libertadores Park. Truth be told, I rarely go there; it doesn't really catch my attention, as its green areas are quite neglected. However, that day I went in out of curiosity to see how it was and to browse around its surroundings.
Aún estamos en época de sequía o verano como le decimos aquí, y es por eso que el parque lucía muy seco, aunque también hay que decir que si está en esta condición, es porque no lo están regando como deberían para que pueda mantenerse fresco 🙄🤷🏻♀️, tampoco hay grama donde se supone que debería haber, y a excepción de algunas plantas decorativas que están cerca de la entrada, del parque infantil y de los lugares para sentarse, el resto de la vegetación se veía descuidada.
We're still in the dry season or summer as we call it here, and that's why the park looked very dry, although it must also be said that if it's in this condition, it's because they aren't watering it as they should so that it can stay cool 🙄🤷🏻♀️, there's also no grass where it's supposed to be, and except for some decorative plants that are near the entrance, the playground and the places to sit, the rest of the vegetation looked neglected.

A pesar de todo esto, en este parque hay varios árboles de mango que ya están cargados de fruta 🥭😋, aunque aún no están listos para comer, y también hay algunas plantas que gracias a su naturaleza resistente, e independiente de los cuidados humanos, se encargaban de darle color a este panorama seco y algo gris con sus coloridas y llamativas flores. Una de ellas, muy querida como planta decorativa en casas, parques y espacios públicos, la trinitaria (Bougainvillea spectabilis), y la otra, una planta invasora y considerada "mala hierba" por muchos, la lantana o cinco negritos, como también le decimos aquí.
Despite all this, in this park there are several mango trees that are already loaded with fruit 🥭😋, although they aren't yet ready to eat, and there are also some plants that, thanks to their resilient nature and independence from human care, were in charge of giving color to this dry and somewhat gray landscape with their colorful and striking flowers. One of them, much loved as a decorative plant in houses, parks and public spaces, the Trinitaria (Bougainvillea spectabilis), and the other, an invasive plant and considered a "weed" by many, the Lantana or five little blacks, as we also call it here.
Las trinitarias, con sus tonalidades fucsia y moradas resaltaban entre la tierra seca y opaca que está en la parte central del parque, mientras que los vivaces colores rojo y amarillo de la lantana, hacían un contraste perfecto entre los arbustos verdes que las rodeaban hacia la parte de atrás del parque donde esta planta se ha encargado de ocupar ese espacio y atraer a las mariposas, a las cuales les encantan estas pequeñas florecitas, y de hecho, ví muchísimas revoloteando entre ellas 🦋, pero volaban tan rápido que no pude tomarles fotos 😕.
The Bougainvilleas, with their fuchsia and purple tones, stood out among the dry and opaque earth in the central part of the park, while the vivid red and yellow colors of the lantana, made a perfect contrast between the green bushes that surrounded them towards the back of the park where this plant has taken charge of occupying that space and attracting butterflies, which love these little flowers, and in fact, I saw many fluttering among them 🦋, but they flew so fast that I couldn't take pictures of them 😕.
Cerca de los muros que rodean la piscina que están construyendo en la parte trasera del parque, ví unas delicadas florecitas blancas que no he podido identificar pero que sin duda me regalaron una hermosa foto para terminar esta publicación 🤍.
Near the walls surrounding the pool they're building at the back of the park, I saw some delicate white flowers that I couldn't identify, but they definitely gave me a beautiful photo to finish this post 🤍.
