Hello everyone, Splinterlands friends!!!
When the old paper edition Chaos Legion was released, a series of cards were introduced that shared an ability which, after a short adaptation period by players, proved to be essential for choosing the strategy of which monsters, and in what order, to send into battle.
Venari Marksrat, Fungus Flinger, Firecaller are the 3 CL cards that have the Martyr ability from level one, with this ability, when the card is defeated, adjacent teammates receive +1 in all stats.
Then we have Iziar, Noa the Just and Vruz, who gain this same ability only at higher upgrade levels.
Using this type of card brought up various choices in terms of positioning, should we place the Martyr card directly in the first position, to immediately boost the second card, or place it in the second or fifth spot, to boost the two adjacent cards?
These different setups have created a variety of configurations, some more successful than others, but all of them sparked players’ creativity on Splinterlands.
Now, with the new Conclave Arcana card edition, we have an ability that is very similar, based on sacrificing the card to boost other teammates, I’m talking about Bloodline Tribute, the new ability that grants +1 in Health, Speed, Armor and every shared attack type to every monster in the team that belongs to the same Bloodline, after the death of the card with Bloodline Tribute.
For now, there are two cards that possess this ability at level one, Moribund Arrowbait and Decrepit Windseer, but there are four more that gain it at later upgrade levels, Filthe Scavenger, Zargrul, Songale and Swiftbeard Stout.
I’ve been testing this ability for several weeks now, and I think I’ve figured out, at least a little, how to use it to achieve victory in battle.

For this battle, with a mid-range Mana Cap of 35 and the Healed Out ruleset, I decided to use the new archon Bella Ratajowlski, placing Gramel The Hunger as the tank, followed by Calabash Sage, Thunderous Herald, Elanor Bravefoot and finally Moribund Arrowbait.
My opponent, instead, used Incessant Sage as archon, placing Twice Yester Knight in first position, followed by Beluroc Aegis, Sherringham Logger Leonine and Luceheim Demon.
This was a very interesting battle, my opponent used almost exclusively new Foundations cards, except for the one in the last position, and went with a very heavy team, deploying only 4 monsters, quite costly in terms of mana, leaving 2 positions empty.
I, on the other hand, decided to place Moribund Arrowbait, who has Bloodline Tribute, as a sacrifice in the last position, one of the most targeted by enemies, especially with ranged attacks, this is a technique I used with Martyr cards as well, but I believe that with Bloodline Tribute it’s even more effective, since there’s no need for adjacent placement.
In fact, in Round 2, Moribund Arrowbait, from the Ulund bloodline, was killed and left the battlefield, but in doing so boosted the stats and attacks of Calabash Sage and Thunderous Herald, since those two are also Ulunds.
This type of card opens up a whole new phase of experimenting with new strategies, maybe placing them in the first position, or maybe in the second-to-last, either way, I’m sure that, in time, the most successful ones will emerge!!!

Ciao a tutti amici di Splinterlands!!!
Con l'arrivo della vecchia edizione di carta Chaos Legion, fu introdotta una serie di carte che erano accomunate da una abilità che, dopo un breve periodo di adattamento da parte dei giocatori, si è rivelata fondamentale per la scelta della strategia di quali mostri , e in quale ordine, mandare in campo.
Venari Marksrat, Fungus Flinger, Firecaller sono le 3 carte CL che ha possiedono l'abilità Martyr fin dal primo livello: con questa abilità, quando la carta che la possiede viene fatta fuori, i compagni di squadra adiacenti ricevono +1 in tutte le stats.
E poi ci sono le carte Iziar, Noa the Just e Vruz che ottengono questa stessa abilità, ma solo nei potenziamenti di livello successivo.
Usare questo tipo di carte ci ha posto davanti a varie scelte a livello di schieramento: mettere la carta Martyr direttamente in prima posizione, per potenziare subito la carta al secondo posto, oppure posizionarla al secondo o al quinti posto , per potenziare le due carte adiacenti?
Questa varie modalità hanno creato tutta una serie di configurazioni, alcune vincenti, altre un po' meno, ma che hanno stuzzicato la creatività dei giocatori su Splinterlands.

Adesso, con la nuova edizione di carte Conclave Arcana, abbiamo un'abilità che è molto simile, che si fonda sul sacrificio della carta in questione, per andare a potenziare altri compagni di squadra: sto parlando della Bloodline Tribute, la nuova abilità che dona +1 in Health, Speed , Armor e ogni attacco in comune, ad ogni mostro in squadra che appartiene alla stessa Bloodline, dopo la morte della carta con Bloodline Tribute.
Abbiamo, per adesso, due carte che possiedono questa abilità al primo livello, e sono Moribund Arrowbait e Decrepit Windseer, ma ci sono altre 4 carte che guadagnano questa abilità in potenziamenti successivi, e sono Filthe Scavenger, Zargrul, Songale e Swiftbeard Stout.
È una abilità che io sto già testando da varie settimane, e credo di aver capito, almeno un poco, come poterla sfruttare per poter arrivare alla vittoria in campo.

Per questa sfida , con il Mana Cap medio di 35 punti e il ruleset Healed Out, ho deciso di utilizzare il nuovo archon Bella Ratajowlski, schierando in posizione tank Gramel The Hunger, seguito da Calabash Sage, Thunderous Herald, Elanor Bravefoot e, per finire, Moribund Arrowbait.

Questa è stata una sfida molto interessante, il mio avversario ha usato quasi esclusivamente le nuove carte Foundations, eccetto quella in ultima posizione, ed ha optato per una squadra molto pesante, mettendo solo 4 mostri in campo , abbastanza pesanti in termini ci costo in mana, lasciando 2 posizioni vuote.
Io, invece, ho deciso di mettere la carta Moribund Arrowbait, che possiede Bloodline Tribute, in sacrificio all'ultima posizione, una delle più bersagliate dai nemici, soprattutto con gli attacchi a distanza: questa è una tecnica che usavo anche con le carte Martyr, solo credo che con Bloodline Tribute abbia ancora più successo, visto che non c'è la regola delle carta adiacenti.
Infatti, al Round 2, Moribund Arrowbait, di bloodline Ulund, è stata colpita a morte ed ha lasciato il campo di battaglia, ma così facendo ha potenziato le stats e gli attacchi di Calabash Sage e Thunderous Herald, essendo queste 2 carte anch'esse degli Ulunds.
Con questo tipo di carte si apre tutta una nuova fase di sperimentazione di nuove strategia, magari si possono mettere in prima posizione, o magari alla penultima, sono comunque sicuro che, con il tempo, le più vincenti verranno fuori !!!
