Hi, Hive friends! Mother's Day has passed already, but I wasn't able to write a blog dedicated to my mother. So, here it is.
My mom wasn't a traveler when she was alive. Her generation differs from mine. I am fortunate enough to travel in my 20s. When I found out about a cheap flight from Cebu to Camiguin, I invited my friends to join me. That's when I asked my mom for her details and booked her a flight as well.

She was hesitant to join as she never wanted to leave the house of my aunt without a caretaker. I told her to ask her niece to take care of our aunt's house as she needed a break.

My other friend backed out of our trip to my sister joined us, too.

To convince our mom to take a break, as she deserved a vacation, I had to book a flight for my sister.
I still consider myself fortunate, as I had enough money, thanks to my online job as a Virtual Assistant.
My mother was excited for our flight, and she started to relax upon arrival in Camiguin.
We visited waterfalls, a cold spring, and a hot spring. She enjoyed it very much.
We also visited White Island.
We found an affordable restaurant that served us halo-halo. Yummy!
Sister, Mama, and Me
My mom told me she loved our Camiguin trip. She was raving about it to our relatives, to her cousins and to her her sisters about our trip. She would have wanted to return. Anyway, I brought her to Palawan in a different year.
Her best highlight of the trip is the hot spring. We don't have hot spring in Cebu. At her age at that time, she just wanted to stay relaxed in the hot spring, which was understandable.
She also enjoyed the White Island trip, as we enjoyed the clear waters of the small island.
I realized I should have brought my mom with me when visiting other islands even just in the Visayas. Sadly, no more next time.
I am just here reminiscing about our travels with my mom.
I know, I shouldn't feel sad because I have my own family and two kids now. But I am still sad that she will never meet my beautiful kids.
I am just praying that she will be our guardian angel, to keep us safe, to keep my kids safe at school. I still believe in angels, my mom is angel.
