Photography is all about light—and when you're watching bartenders work their magic, the light becomes part of the show. Some of these shots were taken in broad daylight, with every movement clearly visible, every drop catching the sun.
La fotografía es luz, pana. Y cuando estás viendo a unos barman dándole con todo, la luz también se vuelve parte del espectáculo. Algunas de estas fotos las hice a plena luz del día, donde cada movimiento se ve clarito y hasta el brillo del ron agarra sol.
But as the sun went down, the vibe changed. The night called for flashes, shadows, and that cozy, moody light that only the bar world understands. That’s where the real drama of the scene came in.
Pero cuando cayó la noche, todo cambió. Tocó prender el flash y jugar con las sombras y la poquita luz que había. Ahí fue donde la cosa agarró drama, con ese ambiente medio íntimo que solo se siente en una buena barra.
This series in black and white highlights that contrast—between day and night, natural light and artificial sparks. The same hands, the same drinks, but a totally different story depending on the light.
Esta serie en blanco y negro muestra ese contraste: entre día y noche, luz natural y los destellos del flash. Las mismas manos, los mismos tragos, pero una historia distinta según cómo se ilumina.
