Here I am again to take you with me on a little trip that I took during these Easter days, we headed to Buggiano for a tour, my husband's cousin has recently moved there and recommended that we see this delightful village, now I confess that it is not among the villages that I preferred but I found the road to get there pleasant because it passes through various villages typical of the Pistoia plain, they call it the Serravalle road which is dedicated to the valley that extends to another municipality, the entire valley is crossed by this road. Serravalle is a very large place located mainly on the main road but if you explore there is also a road that leads to the oldest village with an abandoned fortress that I visited a few years ago. Already from the main road you can see the silhouette of the fortress from afar. Here the houses are mostly simple and colorful terraced houses, there are also many activities such as restaurants and bars. Serravalle is a border point between the plains of Florence, Prato and Pistoia and can be reached via the Serravalle bridge, a large bridge on the very busy road that rises over the plain. It is divided into various hamlets, in my photos you will see a bit of the hamlet of Masotti. Serravalle has a metropolitan area and a more hilly one divided into various villages, characteristic of these hills are the old farms and olive groves.

Aquí estoy de nuevo para llevaros conmigo en un pequeño viaje que hice durante estos días de Pascua, nos dirigimos a Buggiano para hacer un recorrido, el primo de mi marido se ha mudado hace poco allí y me recomendó que viéramos este encantador pueblo, ahora confieso que no está entre los pueblos que prefería pero me pareció agradable el camino para llegar porque pasa por varios pueblos típicos de la llanura de Pistoia, lo llaman la carretera de Serravalle que está dedicada al valle que se extiende hasta otro municipio, todo el valle está atravesado por esta carretera. Serravalle es un lugar muy grande ubicado principalmente en la carretera principal pero si exploras también hay un camino que conduce al pueblo más antiguo con una fortaleza abandonada que visité hace unos años. Ya desde la carretera principal se puede ver desde lejos la silueta de la fortaleza. Aquí las casas son en su mayoría casas adosadas sencillas y coloridas, también hay muchas actividades como restaurantes y bares. Serravalle es un punto fronterizo entre las llanuras de Florencia, Prato y Pistoia y se llega a través del puente de Serravalle, un gran puente de carretera muy transitado que se eleva sobre la llanura. Se divide en varias aldeas. En mis fotos veréis un trocito de la aldea de Masotti. Serravalle tiene una zona metropolitana y otra más montañosa dividida en varios pueblos, característicos de estas colinas son las antiguas granjas y los olivares.
On the road we were particularly struck by a church of magnificent beauty and a large facade, I had already visited the church in the past but it is always a pleasure to see it again, it is called the church of the sacred heart of Jesus and is at the beginning of the Serravalle bridge, it is a church that everyone notices both for its size and for its strategic position, it is not open often and is not very frequented but it is still very well known also as a point of reference. The church is in neo-Gothic style made mainly of sandstone, a stone widely used in the past in this area to build sacred and non-sacred buildings, it has a magnificent rose window and very beautiful decorative windows above the door there is a gold painting with the sacred heart of Jesus. It is truly a beautiful church, continuing towards Serravalle we find some large farmhouses mostly abandoned unfortunately and some truly beautiful stone houses. This road is very beautiful to travel even if it is not one of my favorites also because even to stop to take photos we were often hindered by heavy traffic and I do not like very busy areas, I would be curious to make a more in-depth visit to the neighboring municipalities and the hilly areas that I usually like more, from Serravalle to Buggiano there is about twenty minutes and you can also reach many other places well.
En el camino nos llamó especialmente la atención una iglesia de magnífica belleza y una gran fachada, ya había visitado la iglesia en el pasado pero siempre es un placer volver a verla, se llama la iglesia del sagrado corazón de Jesús y está al comienzo del puente de Serravalle, es una iglesia que todos notan tanto por su tamaño como por su posición estratégica, no está abierta a menudo y no es muy frecuentada pero sigue siendo muy conocida también como punto de referencia. La iglesia es de estilo neogótico realizada principalmente en piedra arenisca, piedra muy utilizada antiguamente en esta zona para construir edificios sagrados y no sagrados. Tiene un magnífico rosetón y vidrieras decorativas muy bellas. Sobre la puerta hay un cuadro dorado con el sagrado corazón de Jesús. Es una iglesia realmente hermosa, continuando hacia Serravalle encontramos algunas grandes masías, en su mayoría abandonadas por desgracia, y algunas casas de piedra realmente hermosas. Esta carretera es muy bonita de recorrer aunque no sea de mis favoritas también porque incluso para parar a tomar fotos muchas veces nos veíamos obstaculizados por el tráfico pesado y no me gustan las zonas muy concurridas, tendría curiosidad por hacer una visita más en profundidad a los municipios vecinos y las zonas montañosas que normalmente me gustan más, de Serravalle a Buggiano hay unos veinte minutos y también se puede llegar bien a muchos otros lugares.
