I've never said this before here on the blog, but one of my favorite games is Honkai Star Rail, which is a gacha game. For this new version, they released a character that I loved since they announced it and well, obviously I had to make a fanart of him. His name...CASTORICE!

To start making the drawing, what I did was to look for some reference image to detail all the elements of the character itself. I found an image on Pinterest that I liked and that was the one I used as the main reference. I started structuring in a very basic way what the character would be, and then I started developing each part of the character little by little.

Comencé haciendo estructurando de forma muy básica lo que vendría siendo el personaje, para luego ir poco a poco desarrollando cada parte del mismo.

I have always enjoyed the times when I go back to traditional drawing, I feel it's like going back to my drawing roots. To continue with the character, after some time doing what would be the drawing as such, what I do after having it well structured, is to pass over it with a moldable eraser to remove the excess of graphite and thus not to stain it at the time of detailing it.
Siempre he disfrutado las veces en que vuelvo a retomar el dibujo tradicional, siento que es como volver a mis raíces en el dibujo. Para seguir con el personaje, después de un tiempo haciendo lo que vendría siendo el dibujo como tal, lo que hago después de haberlo tenido bien estructurado, es pasar por encima un borrador moldeable para quitar el exceso de grafito y así no manchar el mismo a la hora de detallarlo.
After I pass the moldable eraser to the sketch, now I start to detail the whole drawing. I have always used three different pencils to detail this type of drawing style, because if I left it with only one pencil thickness in terms of the line, I feel that it would not stand out as much, so what I do is to use three different pencils to work three different lines, ranging from the thinnest to the thickest and that somehow gives a little contrast to the drawing.
Luego que le paso el borrador moldeable al boceto, ahora si comienzo a detallar todo el dibujo. Siempre he usado tres portaminas distintos para detallar este tipo de estilo de dibujo, ya que si lo dejara con solo un grosor de lápiz en cuanto a la linea, siento que no destacaría tanto, así que lo que yo hago es usar tres lapices distintos para trabajar tres lineas diferentes, que van desde la mas delgada, hasta la mas gruesa y eso de cierto modo le da un poco de contraste al dibujo.

When I have the drawing well detailed, thanks to the work done with the mechanical pencils, the next thing I do is to add some final details, such as the shines, which are in my opinion something that gives a little more dynamism to the drawing. And that would be all friends.
Cuando tengo el dibujo bien detallado, gracias al trabajo hecho con los portaminas, lo siguiente que hago es agregar algunos detalles finales, como los brillos, que son en mi parecer algo que le da un poco mas de dinamismo al dibujo. Y eso seria todo amigos.
