On Friday morning, I had to leave home early, and as has been the norm lately, the rain was there to greet me. A heavy downpour accompanied me on the way, reminding me of the previous days when the weather had also been unpredictable. Despite the rain, the landscape had its charm; the streets were a melancholic gray, which is not much to my liking, but even so, they managed to convey a rare and somewhat special beauty, the kind that only cloudy days can offer.

El viernes en la mañana tuve que salir temprano de casa, y como ha sido costumbre últimamente, la lluvia no quiso faltar. Un aguacero fuerte me acompañó en el camino, recordando los días anteriores en los que el clima también había sido caprichoso. A pesar de la lluvia, el paisaje tenía su encanto; las calles estaban de un tono gris melancólico, que no es mucho de mi agrado pero aun así lograban transmitir una belleza rara y algo especial, esa que solo los días nublados pueden ofrecer.
My destination for the morning was the Sunsol Unik hotel, where I was needed to check the precious liquid, water. It was important to verify the chlorine levels and make sure everything was in perfect condition. Upon arrival, I got down to work and, fortunately, everything was in order. The quality department was satisfied with the check, which allowed me to leave with the peace of mind of having successfully completed my work.
El destino de mi mañana era el hotel Sunsol Unik, donde requerían mi presencia para realizar el chequeo del preciado líquido, el agua. Era importante verificar los niveles de cloro y asegurarme de que todo estuviera en perfectas condiciones. Al llegar, me puse manos a la obra con mi tarea y, afortunadamente, todo estaba en orden. El departamento de calidad quedó satisfecho con la comprobación, lo que me permitió retirarme con la tranquilidad de haber cumplido exitosamente con mi trabajo.
Since I wasn't in a hurry, I decided to take my time before heading to my next destination. I had arranged to meet my husband at the Sigo market to do the weekly shopping and also to buy some special ingredients for Father's Day celebrations. I am thrilled to prepare something special for my husband and father on this date, something that reflects the love and gratitude I feel for them. I thought the best way to celebrate with them was with a delicious traditional meal from our country, those flavors that transport us to family memories and happy moments we have shared.
Como no tenía prisa, decidí tomarme mi tiempo antes de dirigirme al siguiente destino. Había quedado con mi esposo en el mercado de Sigo para hacer las compras de la semana y, además, adquirir algunos ingredientes especiales para la celebración del “Día del Padre”. Me llena de emoción preparar algo especial para mi esposo y mi padre en esta fecha, algo que refleje el cariño y agradecimiento que siento por ellos. Considere que la mejor manera de celebrar con ellos era con una deliciosa comida tradicional de nuestro país, esos sabores que nos transportan a recuerdos familiares y momentos felices que hemos compartido.
After finishing our shopping, we headed back home. The rain had eased off a little, allowing us to enjoy the still cloudy landscape, but with its own magic. There is something special about days when the sun hides behind the clouds and the air is a little damp, yet full of freshness, as if nature is calmly showing us part of its essence.
Después de realizar las compras, emprendimos el regreso a casa. La lluvia había cedido un poco, lo que nos permitió disfrutar de un paisaje aún nublado, pero con su propia magia. Before heading home, we took the opportunity to stop at the Los Robles gas station and fill up the tank. The line was short, so we were able to fill up quickly, a necessary precaution for any eventuality that might arise. With the car ready and our purchases in the trunk, we finally set off for home, where a weekend full of preparations and family time awaited us.
Antes de dirigirnos a casa, aprovechamos para hacer una parada en la bomba de Los Robles y cargar combustible. La fila era corta, por lo que rápidamente pudimos llenar el tanque, una precaución necesaria para cualquier eventualidad que pudiera surgir. Con el carro listo y nuestras compras en la maleta, finalmente tomamos camino hacia nuestro hogar, donde nos esperaba un fin de semana lleno de preparativos y momentos familiares.
