Prelude
Good day to all, hope that you are doing well and battling often in Splinterlands. It is time again for another battle sharing on a match encounter that happened over the span of this week. Today, the match that I will be showcasing will be a fight against Eternal Toufu which has been terrorizing many people in modern with its innate abilities and the battle tactics abilities that it can give to some cards in its lineup. It has become a pain to face Eternal Toufu and it always felt like facing Kron Llama back in the earlier days when I started playing. But today we did have a breakthrough and outlasted it to win a match. So let's get right on and analyze the match proper.

Selection Analysis
We have 2 splinters available for selection - Life and Dragon. Mana wise we do have a good amount to work with at 42, in terms of cards, I will not have to be only playing with low mana cards in order to fill up the lineup.
So here is my selection of the lineup. I've chosen to play Life Splinter and used Franz Ruffmane to lead the team. In terms of tank I chose something that is renewable which is Imperial Knight, this card has heal and hopefully it can last long enough to protect the backline. Imperial Knight is followed by Captain Katie whom is enabled by Franz Ruffmane and will be instrumental in getting bigger through killing other cards and then gain advantage for my team. Next in the line are a series of support cards in the likes of Spirit Hoarder for its triage ability, Meriput Magician for its tank heal and Scavo Hireling for repair. This 3 trio's job is to ensure as much as possible the front tank and back taunt stays alive by healing or regenerating their armour. And last put not least, Iziar to divert all the attacks from the backline onto itself but with void to reduce the damage it receives from magic attacks.
On my opponent end, my opponent fielded the dreaded Eternal Toufu which has 2 extra health and everyone in the lineup with thorns like Mylor Crowling. At the front, opponent used Bera Dallin which is one massive with loads of abilities such as taunt, shield and using its armour to strike me. What a massive card it is. Now the next in line is Corsair Bosun which is there to reach the front line with its reach ability and do some damage. Next is Venka Th Ville which looks really strong as it possess piercing and also able to strike from the backline. Next will be Magi of Chaos for some magic attack and lastly Halfling Refugee which likely serve as a padding from the backline to prevent sneak cards to access Magi of Chaos.
2 very different train of thought in terms of lineup. Opponent does have a lot of impressive cards waiting to tear mine apart. But I do have my backline combo to try to reduce damages and outlast. Let's go right to the battle.
Round by Round Synopsis
Round 1 - So much output and such a heavy landing towards my front and back tank but we are holding on and ensuring that all damage or wrecked armour get replenished. However, all stayed well and able to sustain through this opening round. To also note that my opponent granted 2 cards in their lineup Holy Protection.
Round 2 - More rampage came in this round and Imperial Knight fell victim
Round 3 - It is getting tougher as I had difficulty in recovering of Captain Katie and even get my hands dirty for this match. What is happening is the continuous sustain and reeling into the damage delivered by my lineup. Moving close to goal.
Round 4, under prolonged pressure and bombardment, Iziar finally gave way and we are now left small cards that were there mainly as support.
Round 5-8, we hang in by a thread as Captain Katie is the only more substantial attacker in my lineup to face my opponent. The team just push through one by one clearing Venka and the remaining cards. Everything came to an end when I say Halfling Refugee in a bad shape being in consistent fatigue mode. A nice battle that saw a typically tough to win lineup scoring a nice win.
Battle Summary
What a match! It is always so tough to fight against Eternal Toufu and succumb to the thorns or whatever other additional abilities it gives to your lineup. Thankfully my lineup is effectively not much melee other than my tank. With everything in place and the various utility card setup and having Iziar on sustaining is a great deal of magic barrage and containing the damage onto itself before Captain Katie launches attack after attack to beatdown the lineup. I thoroughly enjoyed the match as I've yet again clocked another victory agains the Toufu.
